About
The Potomac Chapter of the Adjutant General’s Corps Regimental Association is headquartered in our Nation’s Capital, Washington, DC. The Potomac Chapter is unique in that it spans 10 locations across the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. The National Capital Region comprises the Pentagon, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Fort McNair, Fort Meade, the White House Military Office (WHMO), Defense Intelligence Agency, Fort Belvoir, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Fort Detrick, Fort A.P. Hill, and Quantico Marine Corps Base.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and building esprit de corps. The National Capital Region encompasses a diverse range of organizations, from traditional Battalions and Brigades to Army and Joint Staff Headquarters, as well as specialized entities such as the NSA, the White House, and the DIA. It presents the Chapter with the unique challenge of bringing the entire National Capital Region (NCR) AG Community together, presenting relevant programs, and assuming the larger, overall AG leadership role that an installation MPD or Division/Corps G1 usually holds.
To rise to this challenge, the Potomac Chapter hosts regular esprit de corps events, including “fun runs” at key locations within the NCR, volleyball at Fort Belvoir and Fort Myer, and bi-monthly socials after work, all designed to build esprit de corps within the Chapter. Due to the large footprint of this chapter, we rely heavily on the wonderful volunteers holding Regional Vice President positions at additional locations, such as Fort Meade, Aberdeen Proving Ground, and Fort Detrick, to host events and build up the AG Community within these installations.
We also host larger semi-annual events to provide a venue for recognizing Army HR Professionals and updating the AG Community, featuring breakfasts, leadership discussion panels, and informational briefs. Our annual events are volunteering at Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery, our Maude Memorial Golf Tournament, and our annual AG Birthday Ball.
