AGCRA AWARD PROGRAM NOTES:
The Nomination Process: E-mail a PDF AGCRA Award Nomination Form to the Adjutant General’s Corps Regimental Association Awards Committee at Awards-Team@agcra.com. The nominator should submit the nominations 3 to 4 weeks prior to the expected presentation date; overseas shipping delays must be considered. Prior to submission, the nominator should verify memberships and Chapter active status/affiliation. If a situation arises requiring immediate action, coordinate the processing and overnight shipping of the award(s) with the NEC VP, Awards at awards@agcra.com. Once the award(s) are processed, the NEC VP, Awards will send the completed award through the Chapter VP, Awards when applicable.
AGCRA Award Nomination Form: Please use the AGCRA Awards Nomination Form for submitting the following AGCRA awards: MG Horatio Gates Gold Medal; MG Horatio Gates Bronze Medal; COL Robert L. Manning Achievement Medal; MG Horatio Gates Honorary Medal; and the Teri Maude – Debra Strickland Spouse Medal. Of The Year Awards are submitted in the specified format detailed in the Memorandum of Instruction released by the Adjutant General’s School through S1Net.
E-mail Disclosure: IAW AR 25-2 paragraph 5-2 and DODI 5500.7-R, government IT systems to include government email addresses in the .mil or .gov domains are for OFFICIAL USE ONLY. AGCRA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is not an official Army entity, and not part of any federal or state governmental organization. AGCRA members and officers at the National or Chapter levels are prohibited from using their official government email accounts for Association purposes or activities in order to maintain the Association’s nonprofit status in compliance with federal regulations.
Medal Purchase: Please do not purchase award medals, until the nomination is submitted, reviewed, and approved by the NEC. Once/if the nomination is approved the POC will receive an approval email with instructions on how to purchase.
Army Fitness Test: Beginning 1 June 2025 ensure the Army Fitness Test score sheet accompanies all AGCRA award recommendations that require one.

MG Horatio Gates Gold Medal
To recognize the extraordinary achievements and service of individuals who promote the objectives and purposes of "both" the Adjutant General's Corps "and" Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association (AGCRA), to include other Human Resources (HR) professional endeavors as set forth in the Constitution and Bylaws of the Association.

MG Horatio Gates Bronze Medal
To recognize the extraordinary achievements and service of individuals who promote the objectives and purposes of "both" the Adjutant General's Corps "and" Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association (AGCRA), to include other Human Resources (HR) professional endeavors as set forth in the Constitution and Bylaws of the Association.

COL Robert L. Manning Achievement Medal
To recognize the achievements of individuals who promote the objectives and purposes of the Adjutant General's Corps, Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association (AGCRA), "or" Human Resources professional as set forth in the Association's Constitution and Bylaws.

MG Horatio Gates Honorary
To recognize the distinguished achievements and service of individuals who normally would "not" be members of the Adjutant General's Corps, not affiliated with the Adjutant General's Corps, nor AGCRA members, but promote the objectives and purposes of the Adjutant General's Corps as set forth in the Constitution and Bylaws of the Association.

Teri Maude – Debra Strickland Spouse Medal
The purpose of this award is to give special recognition to Spouses and Widows of Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association (AGCRA) members for contributions of outstanding significance for service or support to Soldiers (primary) and / or to the Department of Defense, Army, or AG Corps. Approval authority for this spouse award resides with the AGCRA National Executive Council (NEC).

MG William H. Gourley Leadership Award
To recognize the Adjutant General Captains Career Course Officer who best emulates the qualities of leadership embodied by MG William H. Gourley during his more than 40 years of service to our Corps, Army, and Nation.

COL Frank C. Foster, Jr. Award For Writing Excellence
The purpose of the COL Frank C. Foster, Jr. Award for Writing Excellence is to stimulate thinking and writing on issues of concern about Human Resources and its impact on the Army or Department of Defense.

Benjamin Harrison Medal
To promote excellence in leadership, academics, and physical fitness by recognizing the overall outstanding graduates of Adjutant General's Corps professional development courses (e.g., ALC, SLC, WOBC, WOAC, BOLC, and AGCCC for 42A, 42B, 42H, 42R, 42S, 420A, and 420C).

Theodore Roosevelt Medal
To promote physical fitness by recognizing members of the Association who achieve a maximum score on the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT).

AIT Medal of Excellence
To promote excellence in academics, physical fitness, and leadership by recognizing the overall outstanding graduate of Adjutant General's Corps Advanced Individual Training (AIT) courses.

LTG Timothy J. Maude Medal for Distinguished Achievement
This award aims to give annual special recognition to an AG Corps Officer who best understands LTG Maude's contributions and values in his dealings with Commanders, Soldiers and their Families, and the Army.

CW5 Daniel J. Logan, Jr. Medal for Distinguished Achievement
This award aims to give annual special recognition to an AG Corps Warrant Officer who best understands CW5 Logan's contributions and values in his dealings with Commanders, Soldiers and their Families, and the Army.

SGM Larry L. Strickland Medal for Distinguished Achievement
This award aims to give annual special recognition to a Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier who best understand SGM Strickland's contributions and values in his dealings with Commanders, Soldiers and their Families, and the Army.

John J. Dinnien Civilian Award for Excellence
This award aims to give annual special recognition to an AG Senior Civilian and Civilian Employee in military personnel management for contributions of outstanding significance to the Army and service to Soldiers.

Esther De Berdt Reed AG Corps Spouse of the Year Award
The purpose of this award is to give annual special recognition to Spouses or Widows of AG Corps Soldiers, DoD or DA Civilian Employees who work in or support Human Resources (HR) military management, or spouses of AG Corps Retirees / Veterans for contributions of outstanding significance to the Army, AG Corps, and / or service to Soldiers.
