Fort Drum recently deployed a significant portion of its HR units over the past few months and witnessed the change of leadership within several of its key Army HR billets.
In addition to the 10th Mountain Division Combat Aviation Brigade deploying to the CENTCOM AOR in the past month, the 510th Human Resources Company recently deployed two of its Platoons to the CENTCOM AOR as well. The 510th "Regulators" deployed its Postal Platoon to support theater-level postal operations at the CENTCOM Military Mail Terminal (MMT) this past April, and also deployed one of its Human Resources Platoons to support theater-level personnel accountability operations at the CENTCOM Theater Gateway Personnel Accountability Team (TG PAT) in May. The deployment served as the culminating event of the rigorous training regimen the 510th executed prior to its Platoons’ deployments.
The 510th also executed a change of command ceremony between CPT Lee Munoz (outgoing) and CPT Ben Grice (incoming) on 16 May 2024, held at Division Hill on Fort Drum. CPT Grice recently served in the 10thDivision Sustainment Troops Battalion SPO prior to taking command. CPT Munoz’s next assignment is as the Battalion S1 with the 52nd Aviation Battalion at Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Lastly, LTC Derrick Lucarelli, Commander, 10th Division Sustainment Troops Battalion, and outgoing AGCRA Mountaineer Chapter President, relinquished command to LTC Josh Unverzagt (Logistics) during the 10th Division Sustainment Troops Battalion change of command ceremony held on 30 May 2024 at Memorial Park, Fort Drum, NY. LTC Lucarelli’s next assignment will be the AG School Director of Training, Soldier Support Institute (SSI), Fort Jackson, SC.
