On December 17, 2024, the III Armored Corps G-1 conducted its 1st Quarter, FY25 HR University at the Fort Cavazos Education Center. This highly anticipated event brought together Army HR professionals from across the Corps with a shared mission: to enhance their knowledge and proficiency in HR core competencies, ensuring readiness and operational effectiveness for all formations under III Armored Corps.
The Corps' HR University goal is to build and sustain expertise in HR functions and systems that support the Corps' mission. Designed as an interactive training event, it featured dynamic instruction by subject-matter experts, primarily focusing on practical knowledge and actionable insights.
Expert-Led Instruction
The event featured presentations and discussions led by the IPPS-A Team and other seasoned HR leaders:
IPPS-A Training: CPT Katie To (IPPS-A Team member) spearheaded sessions covering essential topics such as failure to gain, failure to lose, and military pay audits, CW3 Michael Sunday and CW2 Louisa Bauer provided exceptional training on Field Management System (FMS) Web, Army Organization Server (AOS), and IPPS-A functionality. Their expertise helped attendees better understand the critical systems underpinning personnel management in the Army.
Personal Readiness Review (PRR): Facilitated by CW4 Alex Pinkcney and CW2 Natacha Chevres, this session highlighted the importance of integrating data-driven insights into readiness reviews. The instructors emphasized the impact of accurate personnel accountability on overall readiness metrics.
Mission Analysis Readiness Resource Synchronization (MARRS): Mr. Michael Kirkland and CW2 Sergio Mendez provided an in-depth look into MARRS, exploring how to align HR operations with mission analysis to optimize resource allocation and support Commanders' decision-making processes.
Building Momentum Through Engagement
The training concluded with an After-Action Review (AAR) survey, allowing participants to share feedback and suggestions for future HR University events. Recognizing and rewarding participation, three outstanding HR professionals were presented with gift memberships from the AGCRA Lone Star Chapter, a testament to their commitment to professional growth.

The 1st Quarter, FY25 HR University was a resounding success, reinforcing III Armored Corps' commitment to equipping its HR professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to excel.
